Tappit Digital Loyalty FAQs

Getting Started

Signing up is quick and only takes a few seconds.

The first time a customer taps the Tappit Loyalty Station, they’re automatically brought to a simple registration page. They just enter their name, phone number, and email address to get started – with the option to add their birthday if they’d like.

Once that’s done, they’re taken straight to their digital loyalty card, with their first stamp already added.

The whole process usually takes around 15–30 seconds, and it only needs to be done once.

On future visits, their loyalty card opens automatically when they tap. If they ever need to log back in – for example, if their browser data has been cleared – they can do so quickly using just their phone number.

Collecting a stamp is quick and simple – just tap your phone on the Tappit Loyalty Station at the counter.

Hold your phone steady over the phone outline on the Loyalty Station for a second or two. There’s no need to wave it around – just keep it still and let your phone detect the tag.

Most phones have their contact point (NFC sensor) near the top, close to the camera, so placing the top of your phone over the phone outline usually works best.

Once it connects, your stamp will be added automatically.

Usually 1 stamp per tap. For large orders, ask staff about multi-stamp options.

There’s a 30-minute rate limit between claims to prevent accidental multiple taps. For multiple stamps, ask staff to use the multi-stamp option.

Stamps don’t expire, but rewards may have expiration dates (typically 6 months)

Rewards & Redemptions

Typically, 10 stamps per reward, but this is configurable in your settings.

Technical Issues

If your phone isn’t scanning straight away, don’t worry!  It’s usually a quick fix.

Start by holding your phone still over the phone icon on the Tappit Loyalty Station. There’s no need to move it around – just keep it steady for a second or two and let it connect.

A few things to check:

  • Make sure your phone is unlocked
  • Hold the top of your phone (near the camera) over the outline of the phone on the loyalty station
  • Keep it steady – avoid tapping or waving
  • If you’re using an older phone, you may need to make sure NFC is enabled in your settings.

iPhone users

NFC is enabled automatically on most newer iPhones (iPhone XR and newer).
If you’re using an older model (like iPhone 7, 8, or X), you may need to use the NFC reader:

  • Go to Settings > Open Control Centre > add NFC Tag Reader
  • Open it before scanning

Android users

Most Android phones have NFC turned on, but if needed:

  • Go to Settings > Tap Connections or Connected Devices > Turn on NFC

If it still doesn’t scan, adjust the position slightly and try again – it usually connects straight away.

Check your internet connection. The tap on the Loyalty station opens a web page that requires internet access – either WIFI or Mobile Data.

Yes, log in with the same phone number on any device.
